T'was the week before Christmas...
And all through the house, were stockings, tacky knick-knacks, and a tree put up by the spouse!  The shopping is done, wrapping yet to come, and the kids are in school until Thursday at one!

So, normally, I have plenty of Christmas spirit... but this year, I'm tired (likely just the effects of being sick for a week).  If the Mayans and Dooms-Day Prophets are right - so be it!  Except if it is going to be a zombie apocalypse... that would be terribly inconvenient.

Next week, we can talk about reflecting upon the year... but this week, I want to talk about planning for your upcoming year.  Try getting out a pad of paper or a nice book with lined papers and write out your idea:  Marketing strategies month by month; Learning goals month by month; Financial goals...  The point is, Just WRITE it down!  Document it somewhere.  Refer to it often.  Add to it regularly. Create something that gives you inspiration, and helps to get you off on the right foot for 2013!  Perhaps dig out the Productivity Manager I created for Members a few months ago.  I've put it here for everyone to link to:
Blog - The motor control & timing exercise
This week's blog was inspired by an e-mail from a member.  It includes a video of the member doing the motor control & timing exercise with her dog - and my comments on her technique.  I thought it would be interesting for everyone, so I have asked to be able to share it with all of you!  Thank you Susanne for giving your permission for me to do so!

PS  Did you know that ALL of the blog archives are available online?  On the main blog page, look to the right hand side of the page and scroll down (below the picture) to see the archived blogs month by month.  (Bored over Christmas... read them all!)
Training Video: The Juvenile Dog with CHD
This week's MEMBERS educational instalment has to do with how I approach young dogs with hip dysplasia.  I've had a number of different requests about this (including one from the Portugal National Guard... and I'm not kidding!), and so, I have create this video for you.  Next week will be how I manage the dog with osteoarthritic hips.
Until next week...
Thank you everyone for supporting this venture, and for being engaged in your canine rehab education.  Together we will be enhancing the health of the animals in our care!

Not a member yet?  Why not give yourself the gift of education and success in your canine rehab practice this Holiday Season.  (It's okay to treat yourself too!)

Until next time, don't forget to drop me a line!

Cheers,

Laurie

P.S.  And thank you to everyone that sent me well wishes for a speedy recovery.  I appreciated them all!

P.P.S.  The Dermatome & Myotome Posters hit the mail about 2 weeks ago!  Hopefully they all arrive safe and sound around the world!  They are my Holiday present to you, the Members!  All the best this season!
