Secret about my nostrils...

An AWESOME week!
Hey Gang!
So, I had an awesome week!  It started off in San Diego, California - where I co-taught a one-day course on manual treatment of the lumbar spine for the Animal Rehab SIG of the APTA.  Ahhh!  And San Diego is NIIIIICE!  It was sunny and green and beautiful... and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel - which is essentially a luxury hotel, but a bit edgier.  No, I didn't partake in the  multiple kinds of vodka or scotch laid out in convenience in the room for we 'Rockstar' guests...but it did feel sorta nice to 'pretend' I was that special!!!

And... I have been gluten free for 3-weeks now... (except for the fish taco I had in San Diego... that had me cramped up by the end of eating it - it was so yummy, but now I know that I am indeed gluten intolerant).  Well, let me tell you that not only is my stomach flatter (any woman would appreciate that!), but I have full use of BOTH of my nostrils!  Yowza!  I have not had full use of my nostrils (without use of Dristan) for 10 years now!  I figured it was just because I'm allergic to dogs  (yeah... crazy I know!) that I have been stuffed up... and that's about when we opened our clinic (and my exposure to dog hair tripled).  I am sooooo enjoying breathing this week!

And, and... I just finished day 3 of a Marketing Course this weekend.  My head is exploding!  So amazing for clarification on the aspects of marketing and business implementation / needs.  I'm looking forward to passing along this information in bits and pieces.  It was good fun - I spent the weekend with folks involved in Permaculture, life coaching, hypnotherapy, naturopathy.  There were 'raw juice bar' owners, a gal who is involved in a company making paper from straw, and a hippie-dude who's company was called "Leaf Ninjas".  I'm not sure I fit in... but hey, I guess physiotherapy for dogs is a little bit 'out-there' too for some folks to wrap their heads around!

Anyways, it was a great week, and I feel so energized.  It's a great feeling!
So, here's what I have lined up for you THIS week:
Training Video
MEMBERS may have already guessed it... but this week's training video is part 3 of 3 of my Neurologic Rehab lecture series.  (Only 30 minutes... sorry these videos are so long.  But it's good information, no?)  And, I just videotaped part 4 of 3 (ha ha) - for putting it all together, when approaching the neurologic patient.  So, that will go up next week.  THEN... we'll have to find a different topic.  Now, I have ideas galore... but tell me what YOU want, and I'll see what I can do!

Okay - so MEMBERS - go the the site (www.fourleg.com ), log in to the Members area.  Look to the right of the page.  Click MEDIA.  Scroll down to Video Training 25.  Click PLAY.  Click the arrow to play... then click pause... then wait a while... come back and click the arrow to play.  And WATCH!

BLOG - FHO following Fracture
This week's blog is a question & answer regarding management of a dog with a femoral head ostectomy following a fractured femur.   I hope you enjoy the thought processing...
