FourLeg: Hej Hej from Sweden!

Bursting with Information!
Hello everyone from Sweden.  As I type, I am sitting in my room in the Scandic Nord hotel in Helsingborg.  I've done two days of lecturing in Lulea, and I'm just getting set for my second of 3-days of teaching in Helsingborg.  When this 'leg of the journey' is complete, I'll be off to Vienna, Austria for two more days. It has been wonderful to visit with friends old and new - and share ideas.  I often learn things when teaching... and I'll have to tell you about the Kinesiotape story one day... but I've already got enough stories packed into this e-mail to overstuff your brain already... so another day!
Anyways... here what I have lined up for your learning this week!
MEMBERS' TRAINING VIDEO
Image
Today's training video comes from some questions and conversations I've had recently regarding 'Capsular Patterns in Dogs'.  So go to the video to get a better understanding of what they are, why you care and what I believe to be the capsular patterns in dogs!
To access the videos - Members need to log in:
http://www.fourleg.com/index.php?pid=16
Then click MEDIA.
Then scroll down to VIDEO TRAINING 31.
And don't forget... EVERYTHING that I've written, as well as the previous training videos are online for you to see, watch, read, & review.
Why not check out the  ARTICLES section (on the Membership side)?

You can find forms (pain scoring, neuro evaluation check lists, and quality of life assessment questionnaire) that you might find useful at your clinic in the OUTCOME MEASURES & FORMS section.

You can find the article I wrote on Canine Hip and Sacroiliac Disease: Selected Disorders and their Management with Physical Therapy in the CANINE SACROILIAC JOINT section.
Blog Update!

Today's blog is an update from last week's blog on Swimmer puppies.  I had two great e-mails come in describing what these practitioners found to be helpful with their Swimmer Puppy cases!  I thought you would all benefit from their knowledge.  (Thank you Kristen & Tracey!)

Bonus thoughts & tidbits of information

Finding Animal Physio Research:

Do you have any tips on how to find animal PT scientific articles? I am checking pubmed on a regular basis but it sometimes is tedious!

Try checking out www.Deepdyve.com  you can set it up to alert you to weekly articles of interest (in fields of your choosing)... not always the top journals you might pick... but interesting.  Alternately, I would see if you could sign up with some of your favourite journals to see if they do a similar e-blast update whenever they have a new issue come out.

Survey opportunity:

Sometimes your voice can be drowned out on hot topics. Surveys give you a voice to state your candid thoughts. Please consider advancing veterinary care and fill out this survey on CCL Tear Treatment. www.surveymonkey.com/s/CZPPN22

Cheers, Ben Belcha
