Happy Easter!
Hi Everyone!
I'm pleased to say that I made it back home safe and sound!  Despite all of my many points of travel over the last 11 days, I didn't miss a single connection!  Admittedly, the travel portion of the teaching trip was a tad bit stressful!  But no real growth, change, or major accomplishment comes without a bit of stress... so I'm thinking it was all 'life expanding' stress!  Either that, or all of the travel stress was (and still is) responsible for the cold I caught along the way!  Ah well.  I had a lovely time & met many great people, all dedicated to the field of animal physiotherapy / rehabilitation.

It was amazing for me to talk to so many practitioners and realize that we are all essentially dealing with the same issues in this field that is still in it's relative infancy.  We really are all in this together.  One thing that became clear (everywhere I taught) was that we all need more business knowledge in order to get a 'new concept' (i.e. the business of animal rehab) off the ground and THRIVING.  Being competent in practice is of course paramount to success... but you have to get the clients in the doors and then talking about you, in order to demonstrate what you can do, and spread that message to others.  Thus the 'business of canine rehab' is a resurrected passion for me, and the subject for this week's Educational Audio!

Now, perhaps you had some troubles accessing last weeks Video upload or seeing last weeks Blog!  Me too!  I uploaded everything last Sunday!  They were there.  I saw them.  My computer recorded that I had done so... but when I checked in order to upload for today - I could not find either of them!  It's a complete mystery to me!  So, I re-uploaded both items... and if you didn't watch / read last week's educational components... then you can do so this week, along with the truly new, new content!

And speaking of THIS week... here is what I have in store for you:

Audio Training - Business & Marketing Part 5
Dog with headphones
Now we're getting into the 'meat and potatoes' of the business and marketing information.  In this audio, I talk about using videos, articles, and e-mail capture on your website in order to attract clients and position yourself as an expert in the field.
Download the audio onto your MP3 player, and have a listen.  Take notes... and write out your action plan...
As I mentioned above - internationally, we are all seeing the same issues in regards to running a profitable rehab business.  So, listen up and take action.
To get to the audio:  Log in, Click Media, Scroll down to the end of the AUDIO section (just before the video section begins), & find Business & Marketing Part 5.

Blog - Dealing with the Nasty Dog - (mental prep)
And this week's blog / musings pertains to dealing with the nasty, fractious, fearful dog.  When teaching on the subject of canine rehab, I always give tips in regards to how I handle an animal, and how to protect yourself from harm with the various manual techniques.  It is perhaps equally important what you do from a mental perspective as well.
This week's blog discusses some of the tips I have in regards to mentally working with the 'unpredictable' dog.  I hope they are of benefit to some of you!

AND, that wraps it up for this week!
Thank you all so much for joining me on this learning adventure.  As always, drop me a note and let me know what you'd like to see... I'd be happy to help in whatever way I could!

Until next time...
Cheers!
