FourLeg: Happy Canada Day!!

Published: Mon, 07/01/13

Man, am I tired!!!
Hey!! So, I have had a super busy week.  Last Monday, I doubled my pet population by picking up two feral cats for the property and 1 rescue Borzoi. (All husband approved...)  I then left the next day for New Jersey to go to the fabulous STAAR Conference.  I taught 2.5 days of Advanced Spinal Manual Therapy (pre-conference course), then the rest of the weekend for the Conference.  Firstly, I must say kudos to the whole team of organizers for pulling off a great event... from the venue, to the other speakers, to the food, and to the fabulous dog volunteers (and their humans).  What a GREAT event!  THE canine rehab conference in my opinion.  And what impresses me most is the camaraderie felt between all participants - with little to no attention paid to place of training, or licensing designation...  just all good vibes!!  I so highly recommend this conference to anyone interested in attending next year!!  (keep an eye on www.staarconference.com for details of next year.)
I'm sitting in the hotel room still.  It's after midnight here, and I have to catch an 8 am flight... so I better get on with this...
Ohhh!  And by the way... Happy Canada Day!  (July 1st) to my Canuck friends!! I'll toast a beverage to you all for the occasion!

Video:  Conditioning for the Sporting Dog HANDLER

Yep, you read that right... the Handler!  This video idea came to me from, Pat L, a physio in BC who asked me about the idea.  I told her that I thought it was a brilliant idea for a 'talk' to agility clubs and a unique way to market... So then I created a video to use on my own website and to show you!  So this is it.  However, it's not a great video... but it will make you laugh. I had purposely not put it up because I was too embarrassed to show it... but after this weekend, I figured 'oh, what the heck'!!!  So here it is - imperfections and all!

No leotards... I promise!

Blogging on Bladder Stones?

This is another question and answer regarding the use of Chondroitin and the incidence of bladder stones...

I just thought it was interesting!

Well, I had better get to bed before I end up sleeping through my alarm and missing my flight tomorrow!  THANK YOU to all of the FourLeg members that visited with me over the weekend at the STAAR conference, and to everyone for your kind words!  I am still overwhelmed by the support!

Until next week...

Cheers!  Laurie
