Hi there!
Shhh... This one is really quick... I'm sitting in a delightful bed and breakfast (+ Ristorante) in Italy right now... and I have to sit in / near the dinning room, and I think the owners (the husband is the chef and the wife is 10 days past due pregnant) would rather that I be in bed right now. But this is the only place that internet works. So I'll be quick. Please forgive me of typos - and lack of creativity!
I think that my lectures here at the VEPRA conference went well... and I had such a wonderful time visiting with friends new and old! Additionally, the wine is great and the food is divine!
But... enough about that! Todays blog and 'learning' instalment all centre around critical thinking (in regards to making your diagnoses - today and future) and the important role that failure plays!
So:
1) For Members, you can find the full article / document on Clinical Reasoning at:
http://fourleg.com/index.php?pid=6
(Log In) - then go to Articles, - then scroll down to Differential Diagnoses, - then look for Clinical Reasoning. Click on it, Print it (or several), and follow a few cases through while using it, until it becomes glued in your head. It WILL change how you approach cases if you start to think about them in this way.
2) The blog deals with the same topic... but also goes into Failure - and in particular, lessons I am learning from the latest book on tape I am 'reading'!

3) I left up the Marketing Manifesto for members to find for a little while yet. I've had some members ask where they could find it. When you log in, scroll down to the part in RED. That is where I have put the links to the information. Go there! Download... Print... Read... Learn... Thrive! But you'll have to do it SOON! I was planning on taking it away LAST week!
Which means that if you are a non-member and still want to sign up - The Marketing Manifesto is still there for you! ;)
Okay... that's it. I really do have so much more, I'd love to say... and of course, I am newly inspired because of being at this conference and talking with others in the field... but the poor tired pregnant woman beside me, makes me feel so guilty about keeping her away...
Until next time!
Cheers!
Laurie
