Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!!
Hi folks!  I just got back from my parents house, where I was sufficiently stuffed with turkey, cranberry sauce, potatoes, beets, and pumpkin pie (plus more)!  Such a wonderful feast with family and friends!!  And there is so much to be truly thankful for... like YOU! (and my husband, and kids, and dogs...)  Okay... so before I fall asleep from the L-tryptophan in the turkey... I better finish this message!!
Firstly this time... the blog!

This time the blog is actually a video post that I posted for my clinic website... might as well share I thought!

When faced with an injury, illness, or reduction in activity, seniors (human or animal) can decline quickly.  In order to prevent, slow down, or regain muscle loss and deterioration in strength, use of 'power exercises' can significantly help your geriatric dog (or grandparent!).  Please take a moment to watch, like, and share!

Secondly... the video training - stifle mobilizations!
And up next... mobilizations for the stifle.

How long, how often?  Well, you rather have to play it by ear depending upon how often the client can come in - Q 2- 3 x per week would be ideal... but realistically once a week is likely practical... or simply whenever you see the dog.  How long - do a mobilization for a minute or two each.  You do a mobilization, test ROM, do another mob, re-test... and essentially re-do whichever mob was best at the end... (if working on something chronic).  If acute... do the grade one or two mobs in neutral - technique is less important, and no need to retest... They are all about pain relief at that point!

To find the training... login, click video training, scroll down, click and watch!

"Firstly can I say how much I am enjoying using the Fourleg Rehab members area - it has really helped me with identifying some new techniques to use on my clients, and also I just love the fact that I am continuing to learn, but in the most enjoyable way!! So thank you for that."
