So last week, I shared a video on my treatment for lumbosacral disc disease… and this week, I want to provide you with background information on lumbosacral stenosis. Maybe I put the cart before the horse… but I had the 'live' video done before the 'educational' video. And I'm sure you guys are all cool enough to just "roll with it"! (Now, I just want to acknowledge that I know that there are a few other, rarer causes for lumbosacral pain & cauda equina syndrome… but this is the big one!)

Book Review… kinda:

I love to listen to audio books and audio interviews. So my first review is of an interview of Tom Corley on keystone habits of the rich. I came across this audio at the gym! Success Magazine has an audio disc in each edition… and someone had left the audio CD in the magazine rack. Now who carries a 'disc-man' around with them anymore - let alone to the gym??? Nobody… so with only slight guilt, I snagged it up and took it home with me. I've listened to it 3 times now! (I'm still trying to decide if I should return it… or if my good deed is passing along the info I learned to all of you.)

Okay so… Tom Corley has written a book called "Rich Habits: The daily success habits of the rich". So the interview was about his biggest take-aways from studying the habits of the rich and poor… and here are some 'take-away' points for you.

Wealth has nothing to do with luck and everything to do with your daily habits

Success Habits:

Read 30 mins or more per day with the intention to learn
Listen to audio books
Watch less than 1 hour of TV a day (and less than 1 hour on social media)
Maintain a to do list, share your goals & deadlines, and perhaps engage 'accountability partners' that will hold you to your deadlines & goals
Repeat the words "Do it now" when you feel yourself procrastinating
Save 20% or more of your income
Wake up several hours before your work day begins
Sleep 7 hours or more each night
Exercise 30 mins or more 3 - 4 x / week (aerobically)
Set and pursue goals (long term)
Build relationships with other wealthy individuals
Be open-minded (open to new ideas, new things, etc)
Be a good listener (listen more than you talk… learn about others)
Think before you speak… control & manage your words
Count calories, eat less than 300 junk food calories / day, & avoid fast food restaurants

Add just one 'Rich Habit' and it could overpower 3 of your negative habits!

To get yourself started, the author suggests tracking your habits for a week and then listing your bad habits on a sheet of paper, and then start to invert those bad habits into the Rich habits (from above). Try putting sue rich habits onto your 'To Do' list. You may just need 2 or 3 rich habits to change things!
