Or is it???
"Maybe you should talk to Dad about this…" my 15 year old son said to me as I hopped into the car ranting about how Christmas is for men and children, and how exhausted I was with the
'thinking of presents, the buying of presents, the spending of money, and so on!'.
Women get shafted! Shopping, baking, cooking, decorating, wrapping, mailing, entertaining… and the list goes on!
Okay so I was having a bah-humbug moment (actually it was my second rant of the season). And so later that night, I did chat with hubby to express how overwhelmed I was with the holiday season already. (I remember
feeling this way last year too!)
So my little blow-ups and discussions have amounted to hubby and kids getting the tree, setting up the tree, doing the decorating (because I don't much care about where stuff goes), and increasing their shopping duties.
Thus, my suggestion to other women out there is to spell out exactly what you want help with. And my suggestion to the men is to realize that the women need your assistance.
Okay… so that my psycho-babble for the season. I'm hoping all of you are perhaps more 'sane' than me at this time of year!!!
So back on track to your learning:
