FourLeg: Crap food, Good handling, & Cushing's

Pigs in a Blanket...
As I am typing this... the Super Bowl is just getting started... and the request for supper tonight is 'all those crappy, bad for you, hors d'oeuvres... of which we have some in the freezer!'  Oh well, guess I don't have to do 'real' cooking tonight!!!  That makes things simple... but I might eat the left over from last night instead!!!

So what has happened this past week?  Well, as a handful of you may know, we are going to have to move my clinic this year.  We've sort of out grown our space, there's little room for growth within our space, and the new landlord wants to increase rent by $5 / square foot!  So... we've been looking at options for new spaces.  Some good.  Some bad.  It's been interesting... and time consuming!  Ugh!  So feel free to send me your positive vibes for finding the perfect space!  I'll take all the good energy I can take on this one!!

And now... on to your learning for the week...
Member's Training Video:  Handling 101 - Part A
I'm finding that there are lots of multi-part topics these days.  Which are a bit more time consuming to do... but worthwhile.  So this is Part A of Handling 101... which I really should say is MY take on handling with respect to doing canine rehab.  This is the 'talking' stuff to get out of the way.  I have two more videos of handling 'less predictable' dogs that may be useful... or may simply be amusing.  They'll come up in the upcoming weeks.

But for now check out "Handling 101 - Part A".
Remember, LogIn, click Training Videos, Scroll down to the bottom to find Video Training 100 - I should have baked myself a cake to celebrate... Oh, I'll just have to indulge in a 'dough-wrapped-hot-dog'!

Blog:  Building muscle in a Cushing's dog

Q &A

Hi Laurie

I'm seeing a old dog with Cushing's. He's lost a lot of muscular mass and I'm wondering if you have treated a dog with Cushing's before and if they can regain muscular mass.

Thank you!   Ciao!

Nifty, Read Now!
So that's it for your learning... just a couple of things:
  1. Thanks and Welcome to those that joined up for FourLeg Membership last week.  (Thanks Paypal!  Love Paypal.  Grateful for Paypal!  My independent system will but up again soon, but even when that's up and running, folks can always sign up using Paypal!)
  2. If you've not seen it yet... Members, you have to check out the little white Search Bar on the Member's home page... (or on any page after you've logged in) in the upper right hand corner... HERE you can type in whatever you might be looking for in training... try out different phrases to find what you're looking for.  It will pull up any training material related to what you are looking for (Videos, Articles, Newsletters & even Blog posts!!)  I'm so happy that my web-guy added this feature!  Try it out!
Now go and have a GREAT week everyone!

Cheers,

Laurie
