Shockingly upsetting...

Jan/19/2015

Hi gang,  Thanks for joining me this week!  This week, I am trying to catch up on the hundreds of e-mails in my inbox.  I apologize if you have an e-mail into me and I've not gotten back to you yet!  It's on my agenda for this next week too!  I updated another section of my book chapter.  I graded one exam (for our Canadian Diploma in Canine Rehab... CONGRATULATIONS Stella Barnett!  I made 3 huge batches of dog food... and had a busy week treating dogs!  Phew... Lots accomplished.  And kids are writing exams this week and next.

Busy busy and so... here is my learning for you this week!

Members Learning:  Shock wave... but wait!!!!!!!!

This week's members learning is a newsletter all about Shockwave.  And I have to tell you that it took FOREVER to search, compile, sort, note, write about and edit all of the information.  So much so that this newsletter will be a two-parter!  Awesome information!!

HOWEVER... remember last week when my I lost the last 6-months of website uploads when the new company transitioned to where the domain name pointed (or some techno-garble like that)... well that was fixed!  BUT lucky me... there's a new problem for me today as I try to upload.  Today, my site won't upload the newsletter properly.  Oh goody!  And I can't get techincal help until 'daylight' (i.e. normal work hours!).

I am terribly sorry.  I will get this sorted shortly and I'll be back in touch.  Thank you for your patience.  Love and unicorns!  (I'm trying to not freak out!)

Blog - How much to stabilize that Medial Shoulder Instability

Hi Laurie

I have a question about a dog i saw today (actually i saw three at various stages in the same day!) who require hobbles for MSI.

In all three cases, (and different rDVM orthopedic specialists) the owners are avoiding surgery and/or had been advised it is not necessary (yeah!), and have been recommended to get Dogleggs for MSI.

My question, is that in all 3 cases, they have been advised to wear the hobbles 24/7 for 6-8 months.  They have all been told also to do rehab. (swimming, which i don't agree with, to easy to get medial shoulder movement!)  I am wondering what your thoughts are on rehab.

Okay... so I'll be in touch with members later today I hope!   So sorry about this!  It drives me crazy when I'm not in control of such things (perhaps the universe is delivering me a learning moment!!!!!!)  Nothing I can do about it at this hour of the night.  So I will just wish you a fabulous day, a fabulous week, and lots of peaceful, happy thoughts.
Until we chat again (soon)...
Cheers!

Laurie
