Busy weekend! Great week ahead! |
|
As my SIJ continues to mend... I can report with great enthusiasm that the hubby and I planted 26 trees this weekend and I'm still able to walk! And as per my business coach's suggestions for helping to give myself some sanity and free time because of my hectic schedule: This week I begin my new shift of starting work at 9:40am on Tuesdays & Thursdays (My 11 hour work days). I'm so excited about this... I can sleep in just that wee
bit, traffic is a delight at that time, and then I'll only be working 10 ish hours on those days! As well, about 2 months ago, I picked this Thursday (coming up) for a day off! Woot! So it's a week I'm really looking forward to!
So, on with the show!

You had the theory, and hopefully it make you start to think... so now, let's put it together and really work on what can be done to prevent hip dysplasia. What do you tell breeders? What do you tell puppy owners! Enjoy!

Blog: TPLO infection and now the other cruciate just blew!!!
|
I am an LVT pending rehab certification (test in 2 weeks-yikes). One of my patients is a 92# (not too overweight) golden retriever that is 4 weeks out from a TPLO repair. He became acutely lame on repaired leg and arthocentesis showed septic infection. We are 5 days past that and yesterday he completely tore his other cruciate ligament. At my disposal, I have a therapeutic laser, my hands, and the
intention to help him heal. We are prescribing tramadol, nsaid, gluc/chond, antibiotics. He is only portable by sling and harness right now. Other than the laser, massage and range of motion on the new tear, do you have any advice?
|
Yep, I've got advice! Read here!
|
|
And that's a wrap folks! Next week I'll put all of this info into a handout that you can use / give to your clients!
Until next time... Cheers!
Laurie
