So, you know the punchline... I am in Portugal, and as I write this today, I ate a 'traditional dish' for lunch. There were these interesting deep fried 'tubes' of something that had a strange chewy texture and unique flavour. Only at the end of the meal did I decide to ask what it was I just ate. Turns out it was deep fried flour filled small intestine chunks. So... at least I tried it because had I known what it
was, I'm not sure I would have been so brave! Let's just say that they were "interesting"... and eating them is something I can add to my list of things to experience!
BUT... I can recommend Portugal as a tourist destination. I've also had lovely meals (intestine-free) and good company (Thank you to Barbara and Francisco for taking me out, and to the students for being wonderful!!!) and a nice drive & walk through Porto... And some lovely wine and
port too!
PS Check out the family picture below from my son Billy's graduation (note the 15 year old and his 'booty pose')! Billy turned 18 on Saturday.... and my poor husband volunteered to 'supervise' a part in our yard! He deserves a medal! All went well however... no major mishaps... and as it turns out Billy is a bit of a 'drink wisely'-sort who was passing out water between every drink... or after people exited from the
trampoline. (And only two people bounced completely out of the trampoline (out of the safety netting)!!!)
PPS Not many of you listened to the Sleeping Audio. It's frickin cool! Go listen now... and watch today's video too!
Okay - on with the show!
