FourLeg: Everything this week is da bomb!!! (And I'm a mess!)

Published: Mon, 08/31/15

Life is changing...
Oh boy, what do I do now?

Okay... so the oldest son was moved into Residence (at the University of Calgary) yesterday (which is today as I write this)... and I'm a bit of a mess.  Yes, I'm proud of him.  Yes, I'm excited for him.  Yes, we forgot to pack a pillow, so I feel like a bad Mom too... but we'll swing one into him tomorrow.  But, wow, this is a bit of a punch in the gut, as you drive home realizing that you've just had a kid move out!  I've been stress eating ever since we came back home.  I even opened up a box of chocolates!  I'm pretty sure I'll gain Billy's freshman 15 (or more) if I don't normalize here soon!!!  Okay - so if you ask me a question this week and the answer doesn't make sense... try again next week!  :)

Enough of that... before I start to cry again... Onto YOU and your learning for the week!

Blog: A dog diving dog desiring distance!!!

Hello,

I am seeing a new patient who is a 7 yr old Cockapoo dock diver. He is in great shape, but his owner is looking to get a little more distance out of his jumps. He is jumping about 20ft and owner has a goal of 23-25ft.

I have never worked with a dock diver specifically before, but I was wondering if you could point me in a good direction for some recommendations on exercises to improve these jumps.   Thank you in advance!  -- EW

Oh, I'm excited about this... so I went onto a canine conditioning Facebook group and asked this question - to get some ideas and perspective.  And some cool things emerged.  You really must check it out!

Laurie says this is a great piece - and I trust her, it'll be good!
So have a great week everyone!  I'll be sitting in a corner just eating stuff if you're looking for me!!

Until next time... Cheers!

Laurie
Kid in Residence (mine is on the right)... poor buggers are in the basement!  Who needs a room with a view anyways, right???
P.S. Helpful Hints for members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
P.S.  Don't forget...
Check out the Products page on www.FourLeg.com:  books, a poster, and courses.  And for members, check out the Discounts page after you log in!
