FourLeg: Patellas - learning from humans & animal application

Published: Mon, 09/14/15

On with the show...

Alrighty... so the oldest son is moved in and he's doing well.  The youngest son is back to high school and football (2 games already.  I love watching him and his team play!).  But NOW... now I have to start worrying about moving my clinic.  The move will be sometime in October, but right now is decision time - colours, reception design, files, desks... and decision making can be so exhausting.  And to just add to my own stress level, I launched a draw... and one of the prizes for THIS week is a zucchini loaf... better get busy baking!  (Plan on hearing more about my launch at a later date... I'll have lots of info to share!)

But now... onto YOU and your learning for the week!
Member's Learning: Video Training 124 -  Understanding the biomechanics behind patellar luxation
Now we are going to learn about patellar luxation in people and note the differences in dogs.  AND based on a thorough biomechanical brainstorming we'll get some sense of why dogs patellas luxate the way they do... which will start us towards a plan for treating (or maybe preventing) medial patellar luxations conservatively!

Here's how your find it... LOGIN, click Video Training and Scroll all the way down to Video Training 124!

Hmm... this sounds interesting!
Blog: Difficult dog, non-compliant owner, & bad hip... ugh!!!

This is question & answer blog post... You might as well just read it.  A past  TPO, a recent weird episode, a non-compliant owner... and a practitioner pulling her hair out!

I've had cases like this... might as well read on!
So have a great week everyone!

Until next time... Cheers!

Laurie

P.S. Helpful Hints for members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
P.S.  Don't forget...
Check out the Products page on www.FourLeg.com:  books, a poster, and courses.  And for members, check out the Discounts page after you log in!
