FourLeg: Finished up teaching in California, and coming home to moving the clinic!

Published: Mon, 10/19/15

Busy week!
Lovely weekend, with lovely people, and full scale craziness ahead!
I'm pre-typing this up on Saturday night from gorgeous Santa Barbara, California.  I've got a 1/2 day of teaching on Sunday and then I fly back home - arriving in at midnight.
This has been a great course.  Just a small number of people - but lots of great one-on-one hand-on instruction.  Great discussions.  Great collaboration.  And wonderful hosts / organization!  All around a great groups of Vets, PTs & organizers!

When Monday hits... I am up to my eyeballs crazy with completing the move of my clinic!  Oh my!  We will be fully operational by Tuesday.  (Or simply ready to take patients... in a 'mostly' functional space!   I can't even believe it.  Only now, am I realizing that I didn't even take a good look around at the old clinic to remember how it all started at the original place 12 years ago, and how far we've come!  Wow!

So.. short and sweet.  Here we go!
Member's Training 127 - Part 1 Marketing to attach a target niche
This is part one of my Marketing training.  Why you need to market. The difference between strategies & tactics, and the first half of a selection of strategies you can use to market your rehab business or service (even if you aren't the owner!!).  You can have 'magical hands', but unless you can get people coming through your doors, it doesn't much matter!  Watch to learn how!

I like clients... yep, I'd like more clients!
PS  If you aren't a member, or even if you are, you can sign up for this same (or rather 'similar') webinar (interactive and with more examples) to be hosted by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.  Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/onpyhpm

Blog: Management of a supraspinatus tendinopathy

This is another Q & A:

I have been watching your video on supraspinatus and biceps tendonopathies and understand that usually by the time we see these it is  chronic -OSIS and not -ITIS.  I have a case such as this but may have an acute on chronic?  Cried at palpation of musculotendinous junction of L supraspinatus but not at the insertion on the greater tuberosity.  Is this an -ITIS?  Should I be completely resting this dog at this point or should he have some mild walks and early exercises?  What exercises would you recommend at this point?

Hmmm... Read, Read, Read... NOW!
If I'm slow to respond to e-mails these days, please forgive me.  Lots going on in life!  Apologies right up front!

So have a great week everyone!

Until next time... Cheers!

Laurie

P.S. Helpful Hints for members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
P.S.  Not a member yet?
Sign up for a Month... cancel at any time... And just see what you think!  There's so much more than you can even imagine in the learning area!!  You really should check it out!
