Sharing, Helping, Communicating, Collaborating...
We just got interactive my friends!!!

Super productive week!
This week, I've been all in a dither getting things done in order to to get to Hawaii.  In fact, by the time you read this, I'll be there!  So, my e-mail responsiveness will be low low low this week!

But the week has been good.  I had my interview with the Ministry of Agriculture for one of our provinces up here - to look at the issues, opportunities, and scope of complementary & alternative animal healthcare. I'm looking forward to following up on that!  I had a contractor come out to look at doing some finishing in my basement.  My basement has been a 17 year work in progress!  But to have a washroom, doors & trim would be awesome!  Fingers crossed the quote doesn't kill me!  I have my web-designer working on my Two Hands Physiotherapy website... I just need to create some content so he can get it up and running (that might have to happen on a beach!)  I had another call with my "High Performance" coach.  It was great.  We talked about clarity.  So, my goal of the previous week was to brain storm to help get clarity on how I want the Canine Fitness Centre and Four Leg Rehab Inc to move ahead.  And Member's learning for this week is part of that.
And for this coming week, I plan on getting clarity on my personal life (hobbies, future plans, goals, etc).  So, it's a good time to be heading to a beach and having lots of time to mull over those things!

Now, as it pertains to your learning, here's what I've cooked up that's NEW and exciting.  I have been asked for a long time to create a discussion board; somewhere that you can interact with each other, post questions, answer questions, and (my hope) help to guide others to resources within (or external) to FourLeg.  It on the Member's side of the website and you'll see it listed as FORUM (on the right hand side).
I've populated some of the categories... and I'll see what I can do to get info into Each category in order to start discussions.  So it's like you guys will have multiple  Q & A blog posts to read this week.  I encourage you to engage in the discussions & start some discussions!
In having this discussion board go live, I will be moving to a biweekly uploading of new content.  (And what I mean by that is every second week.  I googled bi-weekly to ensure that I was using the term properly, and it means every second week OR twice a week.  How NON-helpful is that???!!)  Anyhow, I can't actually believe that I have managed to create weekly content for nearly 4 years now!  And over the last year I've felt a bit like a hamster on a hamster-wheel. (Hamsters don't live that long!)  So, by adding the forum, answering questions in the forum, and interacting with all of you in that regard will still be value added (maybe more so) and give me a little breathing room in regards to content creation. It'll also give me a chance to work on some bigger projects too perhaps!  I'll still be e-blasting weekly however... I don't want you to miss me!  (ha!)

Anyways, enough of the chit-chat...  On to YOUR learning for this week!  And it's pretty interesting!

Login, click FORUM.  You'll be asked to create your user name and password to use to access the forum (go ahead and make them the same as for your FourLeg membership if that's easier).  Sorry you have to do that, but that's how the forum has to be set up.  Be sure to use your name so that others know who you are - no need to be anonymous here!  This is about helping each other!

I am so excited to get to interact with all of you in this way!  See you on the other side!!!

Blog:  What to ask when negotiating working in a new practice.
Hi Laurie,  I hope your new year started well. I need direction and guidance.

I sold my practice up north and have moved down south. I would like to focus on rehab and acupuncture. I thought of starting a house call business but I have two specialty practices looking for a full time rehab therapist.  Neither place had a full time rehab therapist before. They've both just managed with part time rehab. They both think they will or have clients to support a full time therapist.

So I have options but I want to figure out which is best for me. It is a little different talking to surgeons...

In general, there is a lot to consider.

Any questions you would recommend for me to ask them? Both practices have pluses and minuses.  They are so different.

So have a great week everyone!

Until next time... Cheers!

P.S. Helpful Hints for members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
