Don't break down... the world needs you!
But first...
I have been in Hawaii all week!
Relaxation 101!
It was a great break!  Now, this may not sound like your kind of fun, but one of the things that my husband and I like to do, is a building project.  And we were lucky enough to find a great project.  Check out the sea wall that we built... dug the posts in, cut and hammered in the boards, and back filled with sand.  As 'in-landers' we're pretty happy with out job!  So, this is our anniversary photo (22 years) in front of our creation.
Which leads me to say - hey, if you have any minor renos you need done at your vacation property... give us a shout!!!!  Okay, I'm kidding.  Okay, only partially kidding!  Who knows, might as well put it out there!

Anyways, enough of the chit-chat...  On to YOUR learning for this week!

Members' Training Video # 140: Upper body stretches to keep YOU in canine rehab for longer
This one is for all of you that complain about your aches and pains while doing rehab.  There are things you can do to help.  Some simple stretches that target the typical rehab therapist's 'nagging' spots in the Upper body is today's topic.  I had this idea while at yoga one day, and it was further brought up by my massage therapist (i.e. all of us in healthcare spend too much time with our arms in front of us!)

Blog:  A Neuro Dog with a Weird Kicking Reaction
This week is another Q & A:

Hi Laurie, May I pick your brain again?

I have a friend who has a elite level flyball dog. When younger she was diagnosed with bilaterally luxating patellas (medial).

The friend just did lots of general strengthening of the legs and no medical problems have arisen since.

The other day she asked for strengthening exercises that would continue to strengthen the leg to minimize any possible further problems.

So have a great week everyone!

Until next time... Cheers!

Laurie

P.S. Helpful Hints for members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
