You are the master of your domain!  (Remember that from Seinfeld?)

So this week at the clinic, things are just starting to show the start of the summer slow down.  Summer in Canada is SHORT!  So when the warm weather hits, we all try to take advantage of it and head out of town.  From what I understand in talking to folks, most people are staying nearby for their summer vacations.  But in Calgary, that still means heading out to the mountains or camping, and essentially not being around to attend as many appointments as you might in the winter, spring or fall.  So  to change that trend, we are going to start our UWT campaign for the summer.  Kind of like buying your kid a swim pass.  Too hot outside?  Go to the pool!  That sort of thing!  As business people, we have the opportunity to create and drive our markets - to be the masters of our own domains!  And when things get slow or you want to improve something... THEN CHANGE IT UP!

Anyhoo... enough chitter-chatter, here's your learning for this week!

Blog: Traction Reaction
This week, the blog is a Q & A about traction...

"In humans we see an occasional “traction reaction” or adverse reaction to traction

I am treating a 11 y.o. black lab with significant spondylosis throughout.  More recently he has been dropping in the rear and getting a little ataxic in the rear as well. I evaluated and found pain at C7.

PS
Hey Members, sign up on the FORUM
Forum info
Okay, so I had some questions about about the Forum, and I thought that I should pass on the info to everyone.
  1. The Forum is located on the Members' side of FourLeg, so you'll need to login to find it.  Then look over to the right hand column where you normally look up the content, and at the bottom, you'll find Forum.  Click it!
  2. Now, to get on, you need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
  3. Pick a user name that you want to be seen.
  4. Answer questions.  Post questions.
  5. Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
  6. If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
  7. Videos... I'm still figuring it out.  So far, I'd suggest uploading to Youtube, and then posting the link.
And get on there and engage with the community!

P.S.  Hey Everyone, check out the search-ability of the BLOG!

P.S. Helpful Hints for members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
