Published: Mon, 10/24/16

You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com.  If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom.  But for everyone else... HEY!  Let's get on with the show!
Good things this week despite my fat knee!
Life update...
  • The lady in the basement moved out!  I can't really believe it either!  Anyways, now our house seems too big!
  • I bought a new computer on Monday.  Thank goodness, because the old one died later that night (and is currently with the IT guy to see if he can repair it to at least be a backup computer.  YAH ME, I had backed everything up onto an external hard drive, and was able to transfer EVERYTHING over before the crash.
  • I have been in discussions with a few different folks about helping me to create more content for FourLeg.  I think you'll be delighted in the upcoming months to hear from some other smart & innovative people.
  • The teaching in California went well and was good fun too!
  • I seemed to have developed a supra-patellar bursitis subsequent to running the 'yard sticks' at my son's football game on Wednesday last week. (WHY??? I didn't jar it or twist it, and I wasn't tackled!)  Ah well, I won't be wearing shorts or skirts any time soon, and I hope that I can get it to resolve without resorting to aspirating & cortisone injections!!!
  • The first shockwave to ship to the US for Veterinary Use arrived safely!  Woo Hoo!  DHL is my saviour!!
That's it as a quick 'life in review'...

Now on to YOUR learning for this week!  But first...

Blog: Plyometrics with a side plate of humour
Last week, I had a wonderful little dog come in.  Max is an older, small poodle cross, and he had a spleenectomy back in the spring.  I used to see him in the past as a sporting dog, but this was the first I had seen him since his surgery.  What struck me was his topline.  What a hideous roach!

On evaluation of his spine, there really weren’t any areas that were dramatically painful, certainly not like your typical back pain dog with an antalgic gait!

So where to check next?  The underside!

RADIAL SHOCKWAVE rules!  I am loving it as an adjunct to my other therapies, and am seeing amazing results with it when used on osteoarthritis, tendinosis lesions, and lumbosacral disc disease.  (There are more things it can treat, but these three things keep it hopping at my clinic!)

P.S. Helpful Hints for NEW members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!
