You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! Pain & Manual Therapies &
Back & Leg Pain in Agility Handlers (and maybe Rehab Professionals Too!)
My week in review:
Busy busy busy! By the time this e-blast comes out, I'll be snoring soundly after a great Bracing / Splinting / Fabrication course. We had 16 participants at this course. And it
was awesome!
This week, I've got a great guest blog for you - to help YOU as well as your agility owners. (It doesn't hurt to chat to them about themselves, even if you're not a PT!)
And we're back on the Pain Train! Back to the Pain Management Course! I think you'll enjoy the learning.
And one more BONUS learning! I found a great video on Facebook that talks about manual therapy (can's and cannot's in
regards to what is possible!)
Beyond that, the weather up here has been better! Above freezing, and sunny! The snow is shrinking! And the air no longer hurts your face!!! A nice reprieve!
Anyhoo... Onto you and your learning for this week!

BACK TO THE PAIN LEARNING!
Do you do manual therapy for biomechanical reasons? Ummm... Is a back or a joint really 'out' or 'subluxed' when it hurts? Nah, not really! Is there justification for stretching
& ROM? Hmm... maybe... What about massage, is pain management related to getting that 'knot' out of the muscle? Nope... but it does have benefits!
Yes, manual therapies can help relieve chronic pain... but how?

Blog: Back & Leg Pain in Agility Handlers
|
I'm so excited to get to present to you a GUEST BLOG! A huge kudos goes out to Margaret Kraeling, PT, CCRT for providing this. Margaret is a therapist at my clinic The Canine Fitness Centre. She's an agility handler and about as fit of a lady as I know!! So, when I read this article she wrote as a blog for the human clinic I run, I thought, "MAN! This is worthy of getting out there to a larger
audience!"
And with that, YOU are the beneficiaries of this great info! Not only is it great info for Agility Handlers, but all of us who work and move in strange, contorted, and compromising positions! (Sound familiar?)
If you like your back (and legs), you've really gotta read this! (And as you read it, think about the canine
implications!!)
