You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! My week in review:
This past week has had highs and lows! I had an extra day off during the week, which helps me get some additional projects done.
I had the last of my coaching calls! (I've been doing coaching for a year now!) It's been great, but I really feel like I need some time off... or a different coach / different perspective! We'll see!
However, on Wednesday night, my youngest son Cole tore his ACL and MCL in a Rugby game! Oh boy! So I've navigated where to take him to... and hopefully, we can get him in for surgery soon. Looks
like the docs want to wait for at least 6 - 8 weeks to allow the swelling to dissipate (better results if the knee is not in acute inflammation.) Interesting concept. Thank heavens I have a laser at home, an ultrasound, e-stim, acupuncture needles (although this kid is needle-squeamish), and a home gym in the basement. As I type, he's on the bike going forwards-backwards (his knee won't bend enough to go all the way around yet!)
So, looks like I'll be doing a bit of home human physio'ing in the near future!
Enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!

Blog: The Lactic Acid Lies!
|
This blog comes as a result of discussing muscle soreness with clients. I've bitten my tongue a few times... but it's good for everyone to know the following information!
We’ve all heard the lactic acid lies! Chances are good you may have even repeated them even! What we
believed lactic acid was and did isn’t at all true. In the mid 2000’s Lactic Acid was the ‘bad guy’. By 2010, we knew it wasn’t Lactic Acid, but instead Lactate. And by 2015, we were grasping the concept that it’s a good thing and a fuel source. If you’re not yet up to speed on the Lactic Acid Lies, better keep reading!
