You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! MRI, STAAR, Research Review... all good stuff! My week in review:
HELLO Folks! So here I am uploading
this on Sunday afternoon in my hotel room in New Jersey, after finishing my 5-day run at the STAAR Conference. In case you missed it, I love this conference! Put it on your wish list one day, if you’ve not been to it!
Update on my sons. The youngest, with the knee injury has an MRI scheduled for the Monday (today, as you read this) that I get back! I’m so happy with the expediency
of the system so far. Either way, we are looking to wait for the surgery, since the healing of the MCL will trump the ACL surgery. The MCL needs to not be put into extremes of ROM, and a post-op ACL needs ROM.
The oldest son is home from University. He’s going to take two spring courses. One, an option class, and Two, a repeater (someone had too much fun in first semester, it
seems!) So right now, he’s surfing the couch! I’m hoping he’ll find a part time job SOON, before I start to get grumpy at the ‘man-child’ who sleeps ‘till noon, eats potato chips by the can-ful (he’s addicted to Pringles), and plays video games or makes t-shirt designs on his computer the rest of the time!!
Okay, that’s about all I know on my end…
Enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!
MEMBERS AUDIO - Acupuncture & Manual Therapy.
|
Here’s an exciting audio! How often do you get to hear about a researchers information first hand (from the comfort of your living room, bedroom, or bathtub - yes people tell me they watch video or listen to audios in the bathtub!!!)?
Enjoy listening to how manual therapy and acupuncture provides immediate short term comfort and mobility - a first of it’s kind paper… and enjoy the spin of humour mixed within! Thank you to Dr. David Lane for providing this audio! Check him out at www.pointseastwest.com.

Blog: Missing Leg - What about the remaining 3?
|
This blog comes about because I misquoted a paper on this subject to one of my clients. And as a form of self punishment and chastising, I decided to make myself write a review of the paper, so that I’d not forget the findings (and percentages). And therefore, you must be subjected to learning them as well! :) So, check out this blog-review of the paper
The effect of limb amputation on standing weight distribution in the remaining three limbs in dogs. Enjoy!
