Reflections on May...

It's been a hard week for me.  In fact, it's been a hard month (with all of the kid-drama). Last week I learned that a good friend of mine passed away. She was originally a dog-owner client, then my Sheltie breeder, then my only regular 'human patient', and over the last 14 years, a friend.  It was sudden, it was unexpected, and it was much too soon.

And all of the stress is adding up!  I'm mostly noticing it's taking a toll on my eyesight. I'm having to use my reading classes for just about everything... and that has been new just this May and into June.  I'm needing naps!  And my thinking is a bit fuzzy!  (I have spurts of clarity!  Not to worry!)  It's fascinating (but only as an observer) what stress will do to the body.  I'm certain similar things could happen with animals!  But that's a blog for another day!

Well, that's all I have to share for now.  (Brain is 'timing out'.)  Onto YOUR learning for this week!

PS  Don't forget about the survey, I'd like you to fill out... keep scrolling down!

But first, a cartoon!

Blog: THE PRINCESS OF PLACEBO!
Princess of Placebo
Do you like the picture I found?  I think this is how I should dress if I'm REALLY going to adopt the title PRINCESS OF PLACEBO... It seems practical and light weight!

Okay, but for real... this is an important topic!  Plenty of what we do has a placebo effect.  Is that a bad thing?  No.  Why not look at it as 'adding' up to 30% onto the 'scientifically validated' effectiveness of your therapies?  Have a read and see if there are ways to 'placebo the heck' out of your patients!!!

Enjoy the Read and send me your PLACEBO thoughts / techniques!

Check out this page:  http://fourleg.com/Shockwave   for more information.

And if you're interested, give me a shout and I'll happily send along all of the details.
RADIAL SHOCKWAVE rules!  I am loving it as an adjunct to my other therapies, and am seeing amazing results with it when used on osteoarthritis, tendinosis lesions, and lumbosacral disc disease.  (There are more things it can treat, but these three things keep it hopping at my clinic!)

The price is right (in Canadian Dollars), and I can ship anywhere in North America.  (For those of you overseas, I can put you in touch with local distributors nearer to you!)

Okay... so check it out if you've ever been interested!

P.S. Helpful Hints for NEW members...
If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having any issues with watching the videos, you will want to cut and paste the following url into your browser bar:
http://www.fourleg.com
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the website (https:), and takes them to the site via that prefix... but the rest of the pages aren't secured, only the sign up page... and if you go to watch the videos on the https:... site, then it won't allow you to watch them. So going to the http:// version will make everything turn out okay!!!

As members, If you are wanting to search a topic... then locate the white search bar in upper right hand side of the screen when you log in & are on the members' side of the site.  This is an easy way to find content in all formats!

And check out www.fourleg.com/Help to address any FAQ regarding website or membership difficulties.
