FourLeg: Growth spurts & Back Pain plus a bit of mayhem!

Published: Mon, 08/21/17

You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com.  If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom.  But for everyone else... HEY!  Let's get on with the show!

What a cluster duck (or chicken)!

And what's going on these days...

Oh my goodness!  So this week and the upcoming week are a schmozzle!

I have a great video uploading for you on What do do AFTER the Epley (a continuation of the Vestibular theme).  But it's been uploading to Vimeo since Friday night and it's not complete yet.  So I figured, no problem, I'll give you another audio from my friend Dr. David Lane.  But that wouldn't upload.  Okey dokey, so I thought, oooh, I've got my updated cruciate deficiency protocol I could share.  Again, unable to upload.  (My web-guy has been notified btw...)  Which really puts me in a pickle!  If I don't have a video ready and can't upload anything else, What the Heck can I do?  So I'm pulling something out of my back pocket for you instead... and I'll get Members something later this week when web-guy has me sorted!

And this is my last week of a full house at home.  Both boys head off to College / University next Sunday.  We're officially 'empty nesters'!!  (I'll have to do my e-blast ahead of time... because Sunday might see me either too weepy and sad OR having a couple of celebratory cocktails!)

And lastly, just when we thought the family would be done with medical crap... the Hubby got a wee piece of steel in his eyeball, necessitating an emergency trip to urgent care and then the ophthalmologist!  Oh goodness gracious! (PS. He's fine.)

Okay, Okay!  Enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!

But first, a cartoon!

And as I wrote this e-blast, these were my helpers!
P.S.  I don't always let the chickens run around the yard!

I take you back in time to before my hair was grey!  It appears to only be about 4 or 5 years ago... but wow, a lot has changed! (reference this picture to the right to see just how grey I am now!!)

So this is a section on my clinic's website.  It's a 'hidden page' that people would have to input their e-mail to access normally.  I'm showing it to you because I can't seem to give you anything else, because you might find it interesting, and because you might think of doing something similar on your own website.

And when I get everything sorted, I'll get something out just for you members!  In the meantime, check this out!

Blog: Growth Spurts & Back Pain?
I had a patient in last week.  A 6-month-old medium-breed puppy.  He had SIJ pain and dysfunction, and pelvic asymmetry.  Now, this is a puppy I’ve been following since he came to this owner at approximately 2ish months of age.  So, I can tell you, that last month he was not asymmetric and did not have SIJ pain.

And that's a wrap!  Have a great week ahead everyone!

Until next time... Cheers!

P.S.  EDUCATION YOU NEED!
BASIC MANUAL THERAPY FOR THE CANINE SPINE
&
ADVANCED MANUAL THERAPY FOR THE CANINE SPINE

If you are serious about doing canine rehab, you NEED these courses!  NEED!  You'll never get a dog 'sound' if the lameness is coming from the first rib or a sacroiliac joint if you don't know to look for the problem or fix it!
And your canine rehab training likely didn't give you sufficient background in manual therapy for the canine spine.  So where can you get educated?

ATLAS REHAB FOR CANINES is bringing me down to GORGEOUS Santa Barbara, California!

Check out:   http://www.atlasrehabforcanines.com/ & click on conference

Note:
  •  If I didn't teach you in your Canine Rehab Certification program, then you'll need the Basic Manual Therapy course to get you started.  Trust me!  And it'll give you tons to work with!

  • If you have taken either my Basic Spine course OR I taught you in your Canine Rehab Certification program (and you're using spinal manual therapy), or are a canine rehab trained PT with a manual therapy background, or a vet with Chiro training you can go to the Advanced Spine Course.

JOIN ME in California for a great educational experience!

  1. The Forum is located on the Members' side of FourLeg, so you'll need to login to find it.  Then look over to the right hand column where you normally look up the content, and at the bottom, you'll find Forum.  Click it!
  2. Now, to get on, you need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
  3. Pick a user name that you want displayed.
  4. Answer questions.  Post questions.
  5. Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
  6. If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
