Ruffled some feathers...
But hopefully made ya think!!

How was your Thanksgiving, my American friends?

I made 3 wee purchases on Black Friday.  It's interesting how the 'rest of the world' gets sucked into that marketing gimmick too!

Anyways, it's nice to be back home, and not have any plans or new classes or lectures to create.  That being said... the Christmas rush is now upon us.  And, I usually do all of my Christmas shopping online in November... but I was away for too long in November.  So I may have to actually brave going to a store!!!  Ack!

Enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!

But first, a cartoon!

Four Leg New - Volume 6:  Issue 6
Osteosarcoma & Digital Cancers

Osteosarcoma
This newsletter is dedicated to all of my past patients that have suffered from either osteosarcoma or digital cancers.  As a physiotherapist, I have had my fair share of ‘raising the red flag’ about patients and abnormal bone pain or digit pain.  All practitioners should have neoplasia on their radar as a potential differential diagnosis.

Blog: Core Stability Continues... What IS it really?
So the blog on 'Does a Dog Need Core Stability?' has struck a cord, (and probably ruffled some feathers).  But my goal has been to get people thinking!
Are we doing what we THINK we're doing?
Are we aware of the research in humans?
Is there research in dogs?  (no)
Are we using the right terminology?
Are we using appropriate techniques?
Could we be doing anything better?

So, let's start by diving into looking at What is Core Stability?

Forum info
Okay, so I had some questions about about the Forum, and I thought that I should pass on the info to everyone.
  1. The Forum is located on the Members' side of FourLeg, so you'll need to login to find it.  Then look over to the right hand column where you normally look up the content, and at the bottom, you'll find Forum.  Click it!
  2. Now, to get on, you need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
  3. Pick a user name that you want displayed.
  4. Answer questions.  Post questions.
  5. Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
  6. If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
  7. Videos... Upload to Youtube and then post the link.
  8. It's really cool when you sign your name, that way people can respond to you by name.  :)
And get on there and engage with the community!
