FourLeg: Ugh - Stop Sitting Pretty... again! And stem cells!

Published: Mon, 02/05/18

You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com.  If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom.  But for everyone else... HEY!  Let's get on with the show!

And the chaos caught up with me!!

As I type this, I am sick!

Not horribly sick... but I do sound like I could sing Janis Joplin songs with a very authentic rasp!  The staffing upheaval, the extra hours in the clinic and sorting out coverage, figuring out what clinic tasks need to be done, teaching a course all last weekend, meeting with my accountant, working, and doing FourLeg stuff has caught up with me.  I did so well holding it off until now.  I don't 'feel' horrible, I just sound horrible.  (I should hire myself out to do answering machine messages for fun.)

But so far, the staffing changes have been wonderful.  And as you read this (Monday), our new office manager starts!  I'm very excited!

As far as this week goes, I want you all to read the blog!  Just do it!  :)

Okay, enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!

But first, a cartoon!

Four Leg Members' Audio
Mesenchymal Stem Cells & Osteoarthritis
Stem Cells
This is a great audio from Dr. David Lane again (www.pointseastwest.com) all about Mesenchymal Stem Cells and Osteoarthritis.  Dr. Lane had the unique opportunity to be involved in a Stem Cell conference in his home town of Whistler, BC... and YOU get to benefit from what he learned while attending & participating!

Blog: Ugh... Stop Sitting Pretty - Again!
FACET JOINTS
The controversy continues... but I still dislike this exercise.  The reason for revisiting this topic is that a prominent promoter of this exercise just sent out an e-newsletter professing how wonderful 'sit pretty' is and used a particular research paper to say that the exercise is safe.  I'm going to use that exact same paper to say otherwise.  Read on and feel free to share the blog.

SHARING MY BLOGS!  My web-guy reformatted the blogs, so that they can be shared more easily as individual blogs.  PLEASE feel free to share any blogs that you'd like on your own Facebook page or Twitter feed!   Permission granted!!! :)

Okay, so I had some questions about about the Forum, and I thought that I should pass on the info to everyone.
  1. The Forum is located on the Members' side of FourLeg, so you'll need to login to find it.  Then look over to the right hand column where you normally look up the content, and at the bottom, you'll find Forum.  Click it!
  2. Now, to get on, you need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
  3. Pick a user name that you want displayed.
  4. Answer questions.  Post questions.
  5. Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
  6. If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
  7. Videos... Upload to Youtube and then post the link.
  8. It's really cool when you sign your name, that way people can respond to you by name.  :)
