You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! Cows, Water, & a Ranch Vehicle
I am so very behind in all things since my father passed away, leaving us to manage the ranch. So to sum up my week:
The Good: I
enjoy that my youngest son is coming home on weekends to help with the cows. We are working with the pool now at my clinic... really still in testing mode! (Any suggestions for the best ways to get dogs in and out???) Bought that crazy looking little 'bush-vehicle' pictured above for checking cows in deep snow, and hubby is test driving a horse for the ranch!
The Bad: Twice last week I forgot to eat breakfast or brush my teeth!! (Gross, right??!) I have so many people to get back to and things to do! Apologies to everyone waiting to hear back from me!
The Ugly:
There's still snow everywhere, and where there's not snow, there is mud, and in the fields and corrals, it's a muddy-cow-poo concoction... which means that when my husband or son comes into the house, there is poo-mud on the sidewalk, stairs, deck and back porch. Nice!

Okay, enough about me, onto YOUR learning for this week!

BLOG: Are You Describing That Correctly?
|
|
An interesting concept is springing up in human medicine. It is that being cognizant of choosing how to describe your diagnoses and being aware of the impact that your words might have. The use of medical jargon or common phrasing may have a deleterious impact on a person's health and reaction (or resiliency) regarding their condition. Could the same be
true in Veterinary Medicine? Read on to see what YOU think!!

P.S. Are you looking to include SHOCKWAVE in your practice?
|
I have just the thing! I highly recommend the unit that I have and use at my clinic. And now, I can bring it to you!
And if you're interested, give me a shout and I'll happily send along all of the details. RADIAL SHOCKWAVE rules! I am loving it as an adjunct to my other therapies, and am seeing amazing results with it when used on osteoarthritis, tendinosis lesions, and lumbosacral disc disease. (There are more things it can treat, but these three things keep it hopping
at my clinic!)
The price is right (in Canadian Dollars), and I can ship anywhere in North America. (For those of you overseas, I can put you in touch with local distributors nearer to you!)
Okay... so check it out if you've ever been interested!

P.S. Helpful Hints for NEW Members...
1. If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having issues with watching the videos,
you will want to cut and paste the following URL into your browser bar:
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for
the website (i.e. https:// etc), and it takes them to the site with THAT prefix. The rest of the site isn't 'secured, only the sign up page. So, the website thinks you are trying to watch a video from unauthorized site.
2. As a member, if you want to search a particular topic, then find the little white
search bar on the upper right hand corner of the page (after you log in as a member). Type in your search and be given a full listing of content related to your search words!
3. And, if you have any issues, check out WWW.FOURLEG.COM/Help to address any FAQs regarding the website or membership difficulties!
