You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! Oh goodness... what a week I had! So last week was all about LEARNING!
Firstly, I took a Kinesiology Taping Course and watched tons of
videos...
- So stay tuned for some K-Taping Videos to appear on FourLeg. Very interesting. And again, I'm not 100% sold... but I'm willing to give it a try! There isn't any published research on it in dogs... so THIS topic actually ties in nicely with today's blog.
Secondly, I took a Sign Language course...
- So day 1, I was in the intermediate class (because I knew the alphabet and numbers and a few signs, etc)... well it was the worst day ever! I actually cried on the way home from class!! So the next day I switched into the Beginners class and it was much better... and I wasn't the slowest person in
the class! Phew! But I still have more learning to do!
Thirdly, As I'm uploading content today...
- I'm realizing that there are 180 videos on FourLeg now (Video Training & the 4 Video Presentations)! And from my calculations, there are also 345 Blogs!!!
How is that for an online educational resource???!! Good on YOU for joining the learning explosion!
Okay, enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!
But first, a cartoon! (but you have to be a certain 'age' to 'get it', I think!)

Blog: Balancing Evidence Based Practice & Clinical Practice
|
|
How do you find balance? How do you justify what you do? How do you forge ahead and make discoveries? You might think this is a ‘lifestyle’ blog. Not so! This blog is about finding balance between ‘clinical
practice’ and ‘evidence based medicine’, and how you balance those two for the benefit of your patients and to defend or justify your choices. If all you chose to do was ‘evidence based’… you’d have a much shorter list of what you utilize and prescribe, and HOW you use the therapies you use would also be abbreviated.

For over a year now, I've been working with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a prescription exercise website for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises.
There's so much! Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to
FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
GO THERE... CHECK IT OUT!
