You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! This past week has been all about getting the kids out of the house!
Not kicking them out, but rather getting everything ready and then moving them into their
respective houses for University and College. Saturday was a busy day!
First, we moved the youngest son up to his College, about an hour north of us. He moved into a sort of dark and dingy basement suite with a friend. One of those 'good enough for a pair of boys in college' kind of places, but one that you're glad you don't still live in 25 years
later!!
The oldest son we helped move some furniture into a place in Calgary he's sharing with 3 others. My mother gave him her old leather couch (a really nice, too good for them, leather couch!!!!). So hubby and I had to haul it up from her basement, into the truck and then into his rental house! They had better take care of it, because it's nicer than our current
couch! Anyways, his place is a 1/2 duplex, a bit more modern, but the basement has a distinctive cat pee aroma! Nothing that a bunch of University kids can't ignore!
Anyways, as I type this on Sunday afternoon, hubby and I are back to being empty nesters. No tears this year! Instead, I'm looking at the piles of mess they've left behind and wondering how much I can throw
out or box up!!!
Anyways, that's what's kept me busy!
Okay, enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!

Blog: Maybe 'Trama-Don't-Bother'!!
|
|
This blog is an excerpt from this edition of the FourLeg News.
The drug tramadol is getting knocked down a peg or two! A recent (Feb 2018) veterinary study showed that tramadol provides no clinical benefit for dogs with osteoarthritis of the elbow or stifle joint. The researchers (Budsberg et al) from the University of Georgia studied the
effectiveness of tramadol, to carprofen (Rimadyl), and placebo in a randomized, controlled study.

For over a year now, I've been working with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a prescription exercise website for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises.
There's so much! Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to
FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
GO THERE... CHECK IT OUT!
