You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! Still busy... but getting it all done, because there's no other
choice!
Life is still way too hectic! I don't want to complain all the time, but this darn ranch and transferring duties from my parents to my husband and I is taking up waaaay too much of my time! This past week it's been insurance, purchasing hay, taking over pasture rentals and utilities, and making sandwiches for the guys on the two days they were taking the bulls out from being with the cows. And the week
ahead, I have meetings in regards to negotiations with a pipeline company for a right-of-way to cross our land.
At the clinic... we've hired another part time physio to join our team! Super excited. We've also hired another assistant. That's 14 people in total now who call The Canine Fitness Centre their 'work home'. Most are part time, but it's a lot of
'moving pieces' to keep track of. All good! It's a fun work place!
As well, have you checked out my latest project yet? www.FourLegExercise.com It's an online exercise prescription tool (run by Physiotec - for those in the human world who recognize that name, and from the feedback I've been getting, more comprehensive than Canine Exercise Solutions). Check it
out below and take a test drive!

Okay... enough about me, onto your learning for the week...
BLOG: Another Flopping Carpus!
|
|
This blog was an easy one for me to do… essentially, I want to show you an interesting case that came up because of last week’s training video – The Case of the Flopping Carpus. Essentially the ‘mystery’ was that the dog in MY videos likely had a rupture / avulsion of the entire carpal & digital extensor tendons. Well, the day that my training video went out, I received the following e-mail from
one of you – A Four Leg Member. Read on...

For over a year now, I've been working with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a prescription exercise website for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much! Massage, owner-friendly joint
therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get
sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!

P.S. Are you looking to include SHOCKWAVE in your practice?
|
I have just the thing! I highly recommend the unit that I have and use at my clinic. And now, I can bring it to you!
And if you're interested, give me a shout and I'll happily send along all of the details. RADIAL SHOCKWAVE rules! I am loving it as an adjunct to my other therapies, and am seeing amazing results with it when used on osteoarthritis, tendinosis lesions, and lumbosacral disc disease. (There are more things it can treat, but these three things keep it hopping
at my clinic!)
The price is right (in Canadian Dollars), and I can ship anywhere in North America. (For those of you overseas, I can put you in touch with local distributors nearer to you!)
Okay... so check it out if you've ever been interested!

P.S. Helpful Hints for NEW Members...
1. If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having issues with watching the videos, you will
want to cut and paste the following URL into your browser bar:
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the
website (i.e. https:// etc), and it takes them to the site with THAT prefix. The rest of the site isn't 'secured, only the sign up page. So, the website thinks you are trying to watch a video from unauthorized site.
2. As a member, if you want to search a particular topic, then find the little white
search bar on the upper right hand corner of the page (after you log in as a member). Type in your search and be given a full listing of content related to your search words!
3. And, if you have any issues, check out WWW.FOURLEG.COM/Help to address any FAQs regarding the website or membership difficulties!
