You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! Beware the Naughty Words... This week... fully inspired by last week's blog, I bring FourLeg Members, some educational content featuring the 'naughty words'... 'CONSERVATIVE MANAGEMENT'...
YEP, hot on the heels of last week's blog, I wanted to give you an updated armoury of plans in order to treat a full cruciate tear CONSERVATIVELY. Why? Because as I said last week, it should be an option!! Read on!
And for everyone, you'll find a blog about myofascial release. Is is something worth learning about? Read on to find
out!
As for me, my week has been full. I found a new yoga studio and went twice last week! We've been managing the dog in kidney failure (special foods, special supplements, meds, SubQ fluids, and ensuring she gets a daily walk, and that I do some manual therapy on her upper lumbar spine... read that in a holistic blog - nothing to lose right?!). I got the ranch stock trailers
registered over to hubby and me, and completed the paperwork for our hired hands to be able to do payroll for them and get them WCB insurance! We sold our calves on Friday - using an online auction service. (Expect a blog or business audio about that soon, and the epiphanies I had about the experience, and how it will relate to your business). I organized dogs for the Canadian Animal Rehab Division's Advanced Canine Rehab course (going on next weekend... and that'll be me teaching it
as well.) And always lots of computer stuff to do and e-mails to answer. It never ends!!
Anyways, that's what's kept me busy!
Okay, enough about me, let's just get on with your learning this week!
Four Leg Members' UPDATED Articles: Conservative Protocol for CCL Deficiency &
Rehab Advise Using a Stifle Brace
|
|
Both of these articles existed on FourLeg before now... but these are BOTH updates. They are formatted in such a way that you can print them off on your own letter head and use them as a handout. They are also downloadable... so get in there, pick them up and use them when the right case comes along! The dog's owners will be happy and impressed that you have
a plan just for them to help them with their choice to manage their dog's stifle conservatively! Members, Login, Click ARTICLES, Scroll on down to the PROTOCOLS section to find them both. Click Read & Learn!
(Additionally, I have also put them in the Bracing section, & the Conservative Cruciate section... so you can find them anywhere you would think to look for them!)
CLICK HERE! Lots to learn in this one!

Blog:
What is and why you should
learn about myofascial release…
|
|
The fascial system is the latest craze in the health care providers’ arena. Rightly so! It’s been a missing link for far too long, and just more recently have ‘the masses’ started to take a serious look at all that the fascial system can impact.
Let’s dive in.
Fascia is the cotton-candy like structure that is between all ‘stuff’ in your body. It is around all of your organs (it’s actually what keeps your organs in place. If fascia wasn’t there, then gravity would drag all of your innards down into your pelvis! Wouldn’t that be
uncomfortable!)

For over a year now, I've been working with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a prescription exercise website for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises.
There's so much! Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to
FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
GO THERE... CHECK IT OUT!
