Today is Canadian Thanksgiving! Yesterday hubby and I hosted 13 people. My family of 4, my mother, my brother-in-law and his 3 girls, my oldest son's friend, both son's girlfriends (!!!), and one of the hired hands (a Brit who has never experienced Thanksgiving)! It was fun, food, and laughter! (And the girlfriends were very nice... phew!)
So today we rest! (My legs and hips are killing me. Other than sitting down to eat, I was on my feet for 14.5 hours with the house prep, cooking, and cleaning afterwards!)

Okay... enough about me, onto your learning for the week...
BLOG: Uncommon Use of Neurophysiological Pathways for Mobilizing Joints
|
|
So, I was going through some blog posting, and I found an interesting one:
The gist of the blog is that sometimes when you feel a spinal joint, it may simply be too painful to mobilize it or it’s so stiff that you feel like you are ‘bashing’ the joint at end range. In these scenarios, mobilizing or manipulating the joint, just might not do the trick… or the procedure you are using it too uncomfortable that you’re not actually doing any good!
What to do then? Read on...

For over a year now, I've been working with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a prescription exercise website for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much! Massage, owner-friendly joint
therapies, exercises, advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get
sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!

P.S. Are you looking to include SHOCKWAVE in your practice?
|
I have just the thing! I highly recommend the unit that I have and use at my clinic. And now, I can bring it to you!
And if you're interested, give me a shout and I'll happily send along all of the details. RADIAL SHOCKWAVE rules! I am loving it as an adjunct to my other therapies, and am seeing amazing results with it when used on osteoarthritis, tendinosis lesions, and lumbosacral disc disease. (There are more things it can treat, but these three things keep it hopping
at my clinic!)
The price is right (in Canadian Dollars), and I can ship anywhere in North America. (For those of you overseas, I can put you in touch with local distributors nearer to you!)
Okay... so check it out if you've ever been interested!

P.S. Helpful Hints for NEW Members...
1. If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having issues with watching the videos, you will
want to cut and paste the following URL into your browser bar:
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the
website (i.e. https:// etc), and it takes them to the site with THAT prefix. The rest of the site isn't 'secured, only the sign up page. So, the website thinks you are trying to watch a video from unauthorized site.
2. As a member, if you want to search a particular topic, then find the little white
search bar on the upper right hand corner of the page (after you log in as a member). Type in your search and be given a full listing of content related to your search words!
3. And, if you have any issues, check out WWW.FOURLEG.COM/Help to address any FAQs regarding the website or membership difficulties!
