I was so excited to make it through October, which was busy to the extreme, just to hit November and realize that I still have so much to do. I'm now working on my lectures for Italy next month! (Don't ask me for my handouts yet!!)
But on a more interesting note, I have some book recommendations. No, I
don't have time to read, but I do have time when driving to work or getting ready for my day to listen to audio books. So, my two latest 'listens' were great! 1. You are a Badass - How to stop doubting your greatness and start living an awesome life. By Jen Sincero. You know sometimes you just need to hear things that perhaps you already know
or have heard before just to give you a refreshed 'slap upside the head'. I loved this book and the way it was told like your best friend was giving you advice. It was read by the author, and I've decided we'd could do wine every Friday night if she was looking for a new bestie! 2. Revenge of the Analog - Real things and why they matter. By
David Sax. I like this guy too! I really do like most books read by the author... it makes me feel like they are speaking directly to me. (Which in every case when I listen, they are!!!) So, this one talks about how when everything is going digital there is still room, and perhaps a resurgence of, desire for, and need to have physical tangible objects, spaces, and encounters. Great book and a great concept that I have long been saying is missing from where digital
has taken us!

This blog was inspired by a journal article I read about frozen shoulder and whether muscle guarding was responsible for some of the movement restriction. Well that sparked an idea for this blog, and in particular about medial shoulder instability and some of the things I had been finding
over the years... Read on... to find out why I now think that shoulder lamenesses should be approached as medial shoulder instability (hypermobility / compartment syndrome) unless proven otherwise.

Okay, there are always some questions about about the Forum, and I thought that I should pass on the info to everyone. - To get on, you need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
- Pick a user name that you want to be seen.
- Answer questions. Post questions.
- Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
- If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
- Videos... Upload to Youtube, and then posting the link.
- Want to be notified when someone answers your question or responded to your comment? Just under the reply box, you can click "notify me when a reply is posted".
And get on there and engage with the community!

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies,
exercises, advisement, etc, etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted,
because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)

P.S. Helpful Hints for NEW Members...
1. If you are new to FourLeg and happen to be having issues with watching the videos, you will
want to cut and paste the following URL into your browser bar:
Sometimes after people sign up on the secure page on FourLeg, their computer remembers the secure address for the
website (i.e. https:// etc), and it takes them to the site with THAT prefix. The rest of the site isn't 'secured, only the sign up page. So, the website thinks you are trying to watch a video from unauthorized site.
2. As a member, if you want to search a particular topic, then find the little white
search bar on the upper right hand corner of the page (after you log in as a member). Type in your search and be given a full listing of content related to your search words!
3. And, if you have any issues, check out WWW.FOURLEG.COM/Help to address any FAQs regarding the website or membership difficulties!
