And one of my highlights is that I bought some Swedish pants! I've wanted this style of pants now for YEARS (ever since I saw them)! I've just never had the time to shop for them! So, now I have two pairs. They were selling them at the vet hospital where I was teaching! Pants at a vet hospital... who would think of that!?! Anyways, super happy. Oh, and liquorice candy! Got that too! Ah, a successful trip! Yes, and the teaching was good too! A fabulous group of Swedish physiotherapists!

I’m sure that all of you are on some kind of social media network. Facebook. Instagram. Linked-In. Twitter. (Or Whatever!) I use Facebook as a marketing platform mostly… and just a little bit of keeping up with family, friends, neighbours, and others in the canine rehab industry. I’m on
Linked-In, but I admit, I need to use it more often! The others… I don’t get Instagram (maybe I’m too old – sure pictures are cute, but what are you promoting and how are you promoting)? Twitter, I tried, but ‘yuck’, I didn’t like it! So, I’m going to talk about Facebook as a way to explain what I want to talk about.
Social media is a way to promote your services and highlight what you know and can do in order to solve a patient’s problem(s). To this end, I have joined a number of Facebook groups. I’m on 4 or 5 local dog sporting groups, and 3 or 4 responsible dog breeders’ groups. Beyond that I joined the Canine
Cruciate Recovery Group, the IVDD and Other Back Disorders in Dogs group, the DodgersList-Disc Disease group, Canine Arthritis Support, Canine Conditioning and Body Awareness Exercises group… to name a few. I originally joined them thinking that it might be good for marketing. And yes, it might be! However, it’s also good for pulling my hair out and wanting to scream into a pillow!
So, it’s not quite as simple as being able to put up a post or reply to a question with knowledge (hard earned, scientific knowledge)!!! You see, there are plenty of folks with far less knowledge but far greater opinion who will also chime in… and try to discredit you, make you sound crazy, recommend the exact opposite of what you say, and so on.

I've put all of my exercises (and some of yours) onto a handy platform - Physiotec! It's a wonderful online resource for delivering home exercise / advice programs.
There are HUNDREDS of exercises FOURLEGEXERCISE.COM already! You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the
exercises. There's so much! Massage, Owner-friendly joint therapies, Exercises, Advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately, by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains
to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)

Okay, so I had some questions about about the Forum, and I thought that I should pass on the info to everyone. - The Forum is located on the Members' side of FourLeg, so you'll need to login to find it. Then look over to the right hand column where you normally look up the content, and at the bottom, you'll find Forum. Click it!
- Now, to get on, you
need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
- Pick a user name that you want displayed.
- Answer questions. Post questions.
- Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
- If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
- Videos... Upload to Youtube and then post the link.
- It's really cool when you sign your name, that way people can respond to you by name. :)
And get on there and engage with the
community!
