You are receiving this e-blast because you signed up for these e-blasts on FourLeg.com. If for some reason, this makes you unhappy... then unsubscribe at the bottom. But for everyone else... HEY! Let's get on with the show! I'm all shook up!
And maybe you should be too!!
This past week I headed back to work at the clinic. Even though I didn't actually go anywhere or do any 'vaction-y-type' things, it still felt good to have some time off.
"Fun" weekend event ("fun" in quotes because that's sarcasm), was getting to spend Saturday night in the Emergency department with one of our son's friends, because another friend brought 'magic mushrooms' on their camping trip, and it didn't go so well. Mom & Dad (aka 'REAL' adults to the rescue!) Anyways, everyone is fine... but I ask... "When do boys officially grow up?" I've heard it's 25. It's clearly not 20 or 22.

Okay, but we're going to the cottage tonight (Sunday as I type this) and hopefully enjoy a relaxing, grown up, long weekend Monday!
Okay, enough about all of that, let's get on with your learning...
Four Leg Training Video 190!
Vibration Platforms - Part 1
|
|
This series of videos has been a long time in the making. Plenty to research and sort through. However, I'm pleased to present to you Part 1 of Vibration Platforms. Part 1 included the effects of Vibration Training on the body & for general health, in Athletes, after ACL
reconstruction, and for bone healing. This is rather a fun and interesting topic! Enjoy the learning.

Blog:
Joint Arthroscopy - Yes or No?
|
|
I anticipate that this could be a very controversial blog. My saving grace is that I’m just the messenger… so, Don’t Shoot!!!
I was directed to a paper thanks to another blog post. The paper in question: https://www.bmj.com/content/bmj/357/bmj.j1982.full.pdf entitled Arthroscopic surgery for degenerative knee arthritis and meniscal tears: a clinical practice guideline essentially goes through the pros and cons of doing arthroscopy for patients with
degenerative medial meniscal tears. Well, if this is where things are at with humans, then why would the same not hold true for dogs? I might go one step further and say that it could hold true for canine shoulders as well and labrum tears or cartilage fissuring. Okay, let’s dive in!

LEARN SPINAL MANUAL THERAPY!!!
Or...
2-day Basic Spine Course & 1-day Myofascial Release course
In Belgium in November.
|
|
I've put all of my exercises (and some of yours) onto a handy platform - Physiotec! It's a wonderful online resource for delivering home exercise / advice programs.
There are HUNDREDS of exercises FOURLEGEXERCISE.COM already! You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the
exercises. There's so much! Massage, Owner-friendly joint therapies, Exercises, Advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately, by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains
to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
GO THERE... CHECK IT OUT!
