And Four Leg Info on Iliopsoas !
The life updates:
Well, I made it home from California safely and hopefully I am all topped up on sunshine and vitamin D for the upcoming winter!! I think it's going to be a long one!
Next weekend (Saturday) hubby and I are going to Churchill, Manitoba (Canada) to go on a polar bear safari. It's a one day in and out trip and they take you out in these big tundra buggies. I bought this trip for Peter's 50th birthday! Who wants to go to a beach when you can see polar bears, right??!!
We had a bit of good news. We had his blood work re-done, and evidenced by different blood value ratios to one another, it would seem that we are improving things. The naturopath was pleased anyways. So we might start Mistletoe injections! (A sort of immunotherapy). We also saw a Chinese herbalist this past weekend to get some additional suggestions. Why not?!! Something seems to be improving!
That all for now! Happy Halloween this week as well!
Okay, now on with your learning...

Dietary Supplements for Working (or Sporting) Dogs
|
|
By chance, I came across an article that researched exactly this topic. Are supplements of any use in dogs, and in particular working dogs?
The article on this subject is available in full text format at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6570027/
Menchetti L, Guelfi G, Speranza R, et al. Benefits of dietary supplements on the physical fitness of German Shepherd dogs during a drug detection training course. PLoS One. 2019 Jun 14;14(6):e0218275.
(The short answer is 'yes' they found them beneficial. Read about this paper and a couple of others I found on this topic as well!)

I've put all of my exercises (and some of yours) onto a handy platform - Physiotec! It's a wonderful online resource for delivering home exercise / advice programs.
There are HUNDREDS of exercises FOURLEGEXERCISE.COM already! You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the
exercises. There's so much! Massage, Owner-friendly joint therapies, Exercises, Advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately, by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains
to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
