I'm not 100% over the cold I picked up 18 days ago!!! Man, this one is sticky!!!
I'm happy that Christmas is over! I find it very stressful. Planning, buying, cooking, hosting, etc. I'm always happy when it's done.
New Year? Well, that's not a favourite for me either! I know, I should say something inspirational. I should recap my year. I should look forward to the new. But I'm not there! 2019 slapped us upside the head. The good thing about a cancer diagnosis is having the excuse to change parts of your life that aren't working or that are creating too much stress. We've done that for my husband. Me? Not so
much. I'm still working on that. It's all just added new stresses to my life. I guess that's what I have to work on in 2020!
So, for you, I wish you health and happiness. Throw in some prosperity for good measure and you're all set! May you have your best year yet!

Going out with the dog...
Do you need a ramp, stairs, or what?
|
|
Pet owners find it difficult to get their older or debilitated large-breed dogs in and out of vehicles. It’s a common concern for pet parents. Often as rehab professionals, we’re asked what we’d recommend in regards to ramps or stairs to help people help their dogs in and out of the vehicle, or up and down off of the couch or bed. So, here’s a quick listing of some options that my
clients have found useful and where there have been concerns as well.

NOT MANY QUESTIONS THIS WEEK... Normally, I'd freak out and come up with a bunch of other stuff. This week, I'm just letting it be!
Orthopaedics
- Estrus & SIJ laxity (discussion)
- Hyperextension syndrome - can rehab reverse?
And that's it for this week! Crazy! But with Christmas and Hanukah thrown in there, I'm not surprised. I'm sure there will be more in two weeks time! Happy New Year everyone!

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!
