Lets see... life in review.
I'm still working. In fact, I had a ton of neuro cases last week. So interesting! And I did a wheelchair adjustment for a tiny little chihuahua cross and he just took off and zoomed around like crazy! I have one therapist coming back this week ahead and another therapist is giving me one extra evening a week. Both things should help me to get a bit of sanity back!
I need a bit more time & space in my life to deal with family drama. The oldest son has moved back home. Things are rocky with the girlfriend and he's trying to figure out life... So I'm 'actively' parenting again. (At least I'm not homeschooling too! Kudos to those of you that are also having to homeschool!)
Calving is almost over. We're about 98% done (maybe just 15 girls left to go - out of 450). So, it's a matter of getting onto the next stage of things.

Human healthcare has been talking about hyperalgesia and allodynia for over decade now. A multitude of studies exist that look testing for increased pain sensitivity and subsequently treatment of pain hypersensitivity. So, it’s exciting when veterinary medicine studies are able to corroborate the same finding in animals. To me, this also means that therapies studied and proven in human medicine, may also transfer
to the animal patient (i.e. we can use the best available evidence to guide our treatment choices, which might not yet be formally studied in dogs!)
A nice study crossed my desk recently: L.K.Harris, H.R.Whay, J.C.Murrell. An investigation of mechanical nociceptive thresholds in dogs with hind limb joint pain compared to healthy control dogs. The Veterinary Journal, Volume 234, April 2018, Pages 85-90.

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
