Blog - Water Intoxication
And Four Leg content regarding Behaviour!!
The life updates:
I had a past client message me to tell me what Netflix show I should watch next (she and I like to compare shows). She had sent the message and then a follow up that said, "Forgot to say How are you? Blah, Blah, Blah." I replied, "Fine thanks. Blah, Blah, Blah. You?" She said, "With all of this Covid crap is feels like we're all talking about the same things on repeat. We should just get shirts made that say 'blah, blah,
blah'... because none of us are going anywhere or doing much of anything interesting!!" Fair point!
So... Blah, blah, blah!
Alrighty, enough about me...

Lameness Scales!

Well, of all the things I have set down to research, this one was perhaps the most shockingly dismal! I figured that with all of the years of veterinary medicine, lameness scales surely MUST have been objectively studied. But the truth is ‘nope, not really’! So, I’ll give the punch line up front: There isn’t a validated subjective lameness scale! Really?? Yes,
really! However, since other objective gait analysis measures aren’t always feasible or practical in clinical practice, perhaps looking at subjective measures warrants a wee bit of time just the same. I hope you find this useful, enlightening, or head scratching information!! All in all, enjoy the read!
Enjoy!

I’ve collected a number of research articles that I think the conclusion is the best part, or the only part we need to know as rehab professionals. So here goes! There's 5 of them!
Anyways, they’re all interesting to me! Hope you find them interesting as well. Cheers! Laurie

I've put all of my exercises (and some of yours) onto a handy platform - Physiotec! It's a wonderful online resource for delivering home exercise / advice programs.
There are HUNDREDS of exercises FOURLEGEXERCISE.COM already! You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's
so much! Massage, Owner-friendly joint therapies, Exercises, Advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately, by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to
FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
GO THERE... CHECK IT OUT!
