What's new?
Well, the new puppy arrives on Thursday. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. The new old Sheltie has had a couple more seizures. The Borzoi did well with her dental - 3 small teeth were extracted. And we're all status quo otherwise.
It seems that the universe has presented a number of challenges, stresses, opportunities, messages, and boredom.
The latter was a subject I was talking to a client about last week. Right now, everything just seems to be cyclical. Same old. Same old. Nothing to really look forward to. But, perhaps that's something we are all to learn from. Perhaps we are all meant to go inward and spend some time to self reflect and think about the bigger 'why' we are here and what it's all about. I've been listening to some 'out there' books. For
me I'm trying to listen to my inner voice to guide me. Guide what I work on. Guide my communication. Guide my emotions. (Nothing much else to do anyways! Might as well play with that side of things!)
Listening to repeated messages from clients where my last blog came from. I'm sorry if it hit a nerve for some. I used my voice as a platform for pet owners. The conversations have continued on Facebook (and some private messages / emails as well). I appreciate those that have helped me to understand the different mindsets.
So, this week's blog just seemed like a natural part two to last week's blog, and provides thoughts, ideas, and a compilation of resources for those that do want to open their doors to clients and/or for those who do house calls and when winter comes will need to figure out how to safely go into people's homes to treat their patients.
Okay! Enough about me!

I'm still asking for testimonials.
PLEASE, would any veterinarian that I have ever taught on the subject of canine rehab (assessment, making a 'rehab diagnosis', treatment, exercise prescription, modalities, etc., etc.) - Live, or even if within FourLeg, please write me a letter of recommendation. The intention is to prove ME as a credible source on these
topics. Crazy... but this has been suggested to me as a way to help prove myself as a content expert when in discussions with the Vet Colleges (Vet Boards) up here! And, it doesn't matter where in the world you are from. PLEASE and THANK YOU!
(You can e-mail them to me at Laurie@FourLeg.com. I am so incredibly grateful to those of you that have helped me out with this already.)
Let's get onto your learning for the week...

In this NEWish section, I want to inspire you to GO BACK THROUGH some of the OLD Four Leg Education Modules!
This time, I searched for:
TMJ / TEMPOROMANDIBULAR
This is another important topic... I think! I think the TMJ is an often over looked joint. We need to be checking on it after every dental and quite likely in so many more instances as well! I would encourage everyone to start with the blog TMJ Month. It pretty much spells out how I came to think of TMJ as being more important than I had originally given thought, and how I made the correlation between TMJ and dentals.
So, here's what I found.
Just hope onto FourLeg.com, and visit:

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
Go there... Check it out!!!

Have a great week everyone!
Until next time... Cheers!
