What's new?
Well, I won an award... and I'm really honoured to receive it. I wrote a whole blog about my feelings!
The sheltie that had the dental did very well, but the poor thing had 11 teeth pulled, including all 4 canines! Yikes!
Netflix, Crave, and Amazon Prime are getting our attention. Wynonna Earp, & The Queens Gambit have been our latest binges. We're currently on The Handmaids Tail. And as I write this, I have one of those predictable Hallmark Christmas movies on in the background!
And I am not at all inspired to do much in the way of Christmas shopping yet!
Okay! Enough about me!

By the way, I'm still asking for testimonials.
PLEASE, would any veterinarian that I have ever taught on the subject of canine rehab (assessment, making a 'rehab diagnosis', treatment, exercise prescription, modalities, etc., etc.) - Live, or even if within FourLeg, please write me a letter of recommendation. The intention is to prove ME as a credible source on these
topics. Crazy... but this has been suggested to me as a way to help prove myself as a content expert when in discussions with the Vet Colleges (Vet Boards) up here! And, it doesn't matter where in the world you are from. PLEASE and THANK YOU!

I was going to find a paper to review or another blog for inspiration… but honestly, this happened and it’s pretty big. So, it’s my blog for this week. On Saturday I won the inaugural Veterinary Rehabilitation Therapist of the Year award 2020. It’s an award created by the International Association of Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy and voted on by our peers. I am honestly so
humbled.
Canine rehab has been my professional life’s work. It’s be 28 ½ years! I’ve seen it grow from physiotherapists testing, trialing, and simply attempting to apply physio skills and principles, to actual evidence based practice in this field! Of course, life has changed very much too – from letter mail to communicate between countries to online conferences and from needing to go to a library to read a journal to
google scholar and PubMed! Crazy really!

HEY, did you know that some discussions carry on into a page 2! Look for the little page 2 (or more) tab at the bottom of the discussion if you click on one that is highlighted red but you seem to have read it already... could be you're missing page 2, or 3!

- To get on, you need to sign up with a NEW username and password. (Password can be the same as what you you to get into the Member's area). Next time you want 'in', it should remember you.
- Pick a user name that you want to be seen.
- Answer questions. Post questions.
- Sign your posts please... It's nice to reply to a person by name!
- If you want to post a document or a picture, you can drag it into the message box or scroll down, click attachments, and then 'add files'.
- Videos... Upload to Youtube, and then posting the link.
- Want to be notified when someone answers your question or responded to your comment? Just under the reply box, you can click "notify me when a reply is posted".

For over a year, I worked with Physiotec (an online exercise platform) to create a exercise prescription platform for canine rehab practitioners. And this is it!
I've put hundreds of exercises together onto this handy platform. You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's so much: Massage, owner-friendly joint therapies, exercises, advisement, etc,
etc!
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by Physiotec (and they charge separately for it's use)... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the
Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
