GUA SHA!
Blog -
Knowledge Nuggets: Intensity of Stretching on ROM and Joint Mobilizations effect on Muscle Activation
And Four Leg content on Stretching
The life updates:
So, it's likely time explain my vision for Four Leg a bit better. Honestly, I'm still working it out. Essentially, I love creating new content... but the rate at which I've been coming up with content has been exhausting. Here are my thoughts:
- I'll continue with a weekly blog. I like learning and finding new stuff to write about, so this is something I will enjoy continuing with.
- The New content creation will be slowed down to monthly or every 6 weeks. This will allow me to also create larger content pieces, new courses, and take some courses myself!
- The new website will be more searchable by categories / topic headers. So when you want to find content on Neuro Rehab, it'll be easier to find.
- Your price will go down! Who does that? Maybe I'm stupid, but my goal is for more and more folks to have access to the huge library of information on FourLeg. I've start making the change to the quarterly and yearly memberships and will amend the monthly memberships in December. I hope you'll all stick around. So many folks have told me that they use FourLeg like a library anyways, so that's how I'm presenting it. A
library with new 'books' (aka videos, articles, audio, newsletters) being added in periodically.
- I'm not sure what to do with the Forum yet. There are so many FB groups and the VetRehab chat group etc. So maybe it's redundant. (Feel free to give me your feedback on the Forum for me to take into consideration.)
All in all, I have so much love and gratitude for all fo you! Thank you for being on this journey with me!
REMINDER: I've gotten a few response to the Survey in regards to the use of exercise in your osteoarthritis patients. I'd like a few more! So, if you haven't already, I'll encourage you to go back and read the blog, then answer the survey for me so that I can share it as an upcoming blog. Please & Thank you!

Still asking for support!

I NEED LETTERS OF SUPPORT (mainly from Veterinarians, but I'll take any and all of them)!
To be considered a subject matter expert, I am looking for letters that cover topics such as:
- Laurie Edge-Hughes taught me safe & effective use of modalities (such as laser, shockwave, etc.)
- Laurie taught me effective physical assessment skills and how to use clinical reasoning to make a PHYSICAL / Pathofunctional / FUNCTIONAL diagnosis
- Laurie taught me how to plan treatments for rehab cases
- Laurie taught me manual therapy skills
You get the gist.
I am looking for DOZENS of letters. Please! Please! Thank you to those that already sent one. I appreciate it so very much. (Send to Laurie@FourLeg.com)
Thank you in advance for considering my request!

Blog:
Osteoarthritis and Exercise
|
|
I found a couple of articles about stretching or mobilization on muscle activation, and ROM that I thought to be worthy of sharing!
The first article is about the INTENSITY of stretching and its effect on muscle extensibility / ROM. The second article looks at mobilization on symptomatic joint versus asymptomatic joints and the effect on superficial muscle activation.
These are clinically relevant research papers! So I love that!

I've put all of my exercises (and some of yours) onto a handy platform - Physiotec! It's a wonderful online resource for delivering home exercise / advice programs.
There are HUNDREDS of exercises FOURLEGEXERCISE.COM already! You can find the exercises, print off a handout, send them a link to the VIDEOS of the exercises. There's
so much! Massage, Owner-friendly joint therapies, Exercises, Advisement, etc, etc.
NOW... be aware that this platform is run by / owned by / billed for separately, by... Physiotec... and the support for the website is via physiotec as well. The MAIN GLITCH I am finding now... is that when you e-mail or call tech-support you will NEED to LET THEM KNOW that your question pertains to
FOURLEGEXERCISE! (Otherwise, it's a bit of a schmozzle to get sorted, because they direct you to the Physiotec website vs FourLegExercise website!!!) Check it out and LET ME KNOW (what you think, your experiences, etc... so that I can report back if there are issues!)
I hope you find it useful!
GO THERE... CHECK IT OUT!
